Who we are
Lesa and I have spent 35 years together. I am an outdoorsman-hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, camping, biking, and ATV riding. Lesa grew up eating wild game that her father brought home, going fishing in both the summer and winter, cottaging on Hay Bay, and playing sports—mainly track and field and baseball.
I started competitive archery over 25 years ago, took a break when the kids came along, then got back into it a few years back. Lesa’s main passion now, other than looking after me and our two grown boys, is photography. And recently we have combined these two activities—I shoot tournaments, and Lesa takes pictures of any and all willing participants at those tournaments. I think we make a pretty good team!
We started this—Rogue’s Hollow Archery Adventure, at the behest and encouragement of some friends—thanks Carl and Bruno! Our inaugural event was in April of 2024, keeping it small and easy to manage, with only 24 shooters and a few prizes, only one scoring round and a novelty shoot as well. We had great feedback from all attendees with no complaints yet! And we managed to raise over $800 that was donated to our local Morning Star Mission. We had shooters from as far away as Windsor, and Sauble Beach. For 2026, we have shooters from as far as the East Coast, and rumors of some southern shooters too, planning on attending
For 2026, we have much bigger plans! We will have two official scoring rounds of 20 targets each using the ASA scoring format, a shoot down for the money classes, prizes, meals, and a novelty shoot where you can win some BIG cash!
